  • Disabled males  in Maine are twice as likely to be arrested at school than non disabled males and disabled females are five times more likely to be arrested at school than non disabled females.

 

  • The Black male population comprises approximately six percent of the United States population, of the 2,300,000 people incarcerated nationwide, 1 million are Black males.
  • Black males receive ten percent longer Federal sentences than White males who commit the same crime.

 

  • 80 percent of Latino students attend segregated schools and 43 percent attend intensely segregated schools — ones with only up to 10 percent of white students. 74 percent of black students attend segregated schools, and 38 percent attend intensely segregated schools.
