Energy was high in the first game of the softball season. Hailie Casey mentions that “We were all enthusiastic and excited.” Teamwork and consistency throughout the game lead the team to a 12-3 win. Going into the second game, there was a strong start by the SeaWolves, but they slowly ran out of momentum. After a long inning, UNE pulled away. They were able to rally a bit, but not enough, and ended up losing 20-14. Bella Marier went 4-6 with 2 2B and 1 3B. Morgan Brown went 3-4 with 2 2B and 1 1B. Erica Hill pitched an incredible 2 games while Bella Marier came in clutch a few innings to give Erica a rest. Solid defense too, as they often switched up positions, allowing them to adjust quickly and get the job done. “We have an incredible team and we’re looking forward to this fall season!” Casey said
Next game is Friday September 16th at 3:30 for game 1 and 5:30 for game 2.
