Playoff Basketball has started here in this month of April, and we so far have some very exciting matchups. Clippers vs Suns, Lakers vs Grizzlies, Bucks vs Heat, etc.
Last night the Philadelphia 76ers matched up against the Brooklyn Nets for Game Two. Playing in Philadelphia, the Sixers had the home crowd advantage. The game was tied throughout the first quarter at 25-25. By Halftime the Nets had taken the lead by five points, leading 49-44, Nets power forward Cam Johnson had a strong first half. Joel Embiid played strong offense and defense throughout the game. The Sixers ended taking the 2-0 lead in the end, winning 96-84 at the end of the game with a huge game from Tyrese Maxey. 33 points, 6 threes and 3 boards.
The Kings and Warriors played Game 2 in Sacramento, in the city of “Light The Beam!” A bright purple beam that soars into the sky after the Kings win. The Kings started the game at a fast pace, with De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis cashing in 24 points each. Malik Monk also played a huge role in the game. There was a few stints where Klay Thompson would catch fire and try to bring the close game closer, but the Kings ended up winning Game 2 at 114-106. This is the first time in the Steph Curry Warriors era where the Warriors would go down 2-0 in a series. An incredible run honestly.
Draymond Green was ejected late in the fourth quarter after a flagrant 2 call for stepping on Domantas Sabonis. This leaves question as to whether Green will be suspended over this incident, which would be an identical replay to the 2016 NBA Finals incident vs the Cavaliers. Ultimately, Green’s status could ultimately determine how this series plays out, but the Warriors are heading back to San Francisco
