The Rave Guardian App is a free app that you can use to keep yourself and the SMCC community safe. 

Any student, faculty staff member on the South Portland or Midcoast campus can use it. This app offers multiple helpful features such as a safety timer feature that allows you to tell people where you are going during a trip around campus. The safety timer also lets them know when you arrive safe.  

The ‘submit a tip’ feature is crucial to keeping our SMCC campus a safe place. You can submit a tip on abuse/assault, harassment/stalking, suspicious activity, mental health concerns, and many other pressing issues. Your tip can also be submitted anonymously, which will protect your privacy.  Another helpful feature within this app is the Emergency info feature. This feature allows you to view SMCC procedures, maps and videos on important topics such as evacuations, lockdowns, and how to protect yourself from an active shooter. 

The Rave Guardian App can be found free in the Apple store and Android App store under the keywords “Rave Guardian.” With this app SMCC is truly following through on their famous motto, SMCC cares.
