SMCC has always had a big number of clubs to allow every student to thrive academically and explore their passions. The newest addition to this pool is called the Fit Check Club. This club is dedicated to promoting “individuality and expression on our campus, as well as providing a space to share styles and fashion ideas with each other” , said the club’s vice president Farrah Pralicz.
Q: What prompted you to join/help create the club?
Farrah: I got involved in fit check because I wanted to find something to dedicate myself to while figuring out what I want to do with my life. A fashion club with good friends is simple, easy and uplifting, as well as something that can be raised to benefit many others through events and good intentions!
Q: What would you say the main goal of the club is?
Farrah: The main goal of Fit Check is to promote individuality and expression on our campus, as well as provide a space to share styles and fashion ideas with each other!
Q: What can students do if they want to join the club?
Farrah: Students can come by Hildreth Media Center 102 on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30, nothing else required and all are welcome!
Q: How long has the club been around for?
Farrah: This is the second semester the club has been running!
Q: How many students do you think are part of the club so far?
Farrah: We have about 10 people that come when they can!
With today’s fast paced academic environment, it can be easy for college students to neglect their hobbies. More safe and supportive spaces are needed for a fuller and more positive academic experience.
