Never thought I’d move to Maine

I guess however, I cannot complain.

The people that reside here 

I’ve started to hold close and dear.

Living in Florida all I felt was fear

The harassment that tormented every year.

In Maine it’s different and new 

The people here don’t make me feel so blue.

I’d like to think I made a good choice.

I want the world to hear my voice.

I never thought I could envision

Leaving Florida for Maine was the best decision.
