The New York Giant’s have had an interesting season so far to say the least, from rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and perhaps most notably rookie halfback Cam Skattebo have impressive chemistry on and even off the field. However, the dynamic duo had suddenly come to a halt on October 26, when Skattebo sustained an injury during the divisional game against Philadelphia on the road.
In a video featured on his instagram page, Skattebo stated the following: ”All the way up. Lovesac Sactionals with stealth-tech surround sound takes gaming and relaxation to a whole new level.” with a hashtag showing that he’s a Lovesac partner.

Prior to that rather unfortunate moment within the game, Dart and Skattebo were simply unstoppable as Skattebo had rushed for 410 yards this season off of the line of scrimmage accompanied by five rushing touchdowns on 101 carries and 207 receiving yards 2 receiving touchdowns on 24 receptions, for a total of 617 yards and seven touchdowns overall. According to NFL statistics and he leads all other rookie halfbacks in scrimmage yards according to ESPN numbers report.
So fast forward to now, Skattebo has been riding the bench for a reason and he will significantly contribute to motivating the team as a whole. However, he’s going to maintain working hard and remaining consistent despite the severity of his injury. Also with this Skattebo has released a few bits of information regarding his future since his injury.
The New York Giant’s, who are currently sitting at a record of (2-7), will take on the Chicago bears who are (5-3) on the road on Sunday, November 9. Skattebo unfortunately be available to play in the game, as he’s busy elsewhere.
The Giants’ fourth round pick from Arizona State has been putting in the work ever since his injury, as he believes that the more effort he puts into the recovery process the sooner he’ll be able to head back out onto the field. As a matter of fact Skattebo recently established a partnership with ”Lovesac” which is a company that produces futuristic furniture, and while this endorsement is seemingly far from what’s most important it shows that Skattebo is staying busy and resilient during his temporary time off the field.
New York Giant’s taking on the Chicago Bears:
The New York Giant’s are undoubtedly the underdogs going into this game on Sunday. In an article published on Thursday, November 6, Jon Hoefling on USA Today views the numbers and statistics, and states the following: ”While Chicago’s great run game has come to at the cost of Rome Odunze’s production, I’m sure no Bears fans mind. The Giants will be unable to stop Chicago, similar to what happened against San Francisco.”
Blake Schuster even added, ”Chicago got extremely lucky last week while facing a Bengal’s defense that couldn’t stop the most frustrating offense in the NFC. I don’t expect the Bears will need to score as much against this New York club.”
On a separate segment, Jordan Raane of ESPN unfortunately noted, ”The Giants haven’t been able to stop the run this season — really, for the past four seasons. They’re allowing an NFL-worst 5.5 yards per carry and have allowed over 30 points in three straight games.” He had also stated that ”it’s not going to get any easier against the Bears’ second ranked rushing offense.”
Sufficed to say that this game won’t be a cakewalk against the Bears in Chicago. However even with all of this Ben Johnson has experienced some flaws as well this season as well, so the Giant’s are very well capable of pulling off an upset.
