This is the SMCC Beacon’s sports editor, C.J. Grant. C.J. is a 19-year-old recent high school graduate that has been knee-deep in professional athletics since he was old enough to talk. After realizing he didn’t quite have the physical abilities to go pro in any of the big sports, he quickly began turning his attention to the coverage end of the sports industry. He dreams of one day of calling football, basketball, baseball or ice hockey games (or all four) from the broadcast booth at a college or professional level.
