The U.S. and Israel attacked Iran, Does this Mean War?

On February 28th, the BBC reported that the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in what reporters described as a U.S.–Israeli strike, along with other important leaders like the commander-general and defense council secretary. More attacks were made on Iran, resulting in over 700 dead civilians. Iranian officials said that the strikes, which were aimed at the capital Tehran, also hit a school and nine hospitals. The U.S. explained that the allegation about the school was false, and that although it was not a target, a hospital was hit from an attack. According to CNN’s reporting, the conflict between Iran, the U.S., and the Israeli military has just begun, and civilians from those countries worried what’s to come next.
