Making college more affordable is a difficult prospect, and good people will disagree on what is a profoundly complicated and vitally important debate; however, what cannot stand is the status quo. It cannot remain a fact of life in the richest country in the world that only the wealthiest among us can afford the right to provide their children with an unburdened education.
