I just want to give a big shout out to Josh Blake. I believe Josh said he was in either the plumbing or electricians program. Josh was outside in the smoking area picking up EVERY SINGLE cigarette butt. It looked amazing out there. I asked why he was doing it. It was not out of any obligation or requirement. Josh simply wanted to give back to the environment and help keep his campus clean. He had been thinking about it for several days so he finally grabbed a pair of gloves and started cleaning.

We need more of this.

Maybe with some acknowledgement and recognition we could start a positive trend and at the very least, awareness that might encourage smokers to take those extra two or three steps over to a proper place to dispose of their cigarette butts.
