Ask not what your school’s honor society can do for you, ask what you can do for you school’s honor society.”
-JFK probably.
Many of you may have gotten emails about Phi Theta Kappa and wondered how it got past your spam filter. Believe it or not, we’re not trying to scam you, we’re trying to help you stand out to colleges and employers alike. Aside from your degree itself, being a member of PTK may be the best thing you can put on your resume during your time at SMCC. If you have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, you likely received an invitation asking to join. Even if you don’t meet the GPA mark, you can still take part in our projects! This semester we are looking for help with our honors in action program, basically identifying a problem in our community and figuring out a solution. So if you would like to help with an awesome community service program and or expand your resume, let us know!
