This review will remain SPOILER FREE! “Avengers: Endgame” will satisfy diehard fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and new fans alike. The stories that have been told over the course of 11 years have been successfully closed with what COULD be the final film of the franchise if Marvel really wanted it to be.
the positives of this film come from the spectacle. This feels like a huge event, it feels… like a comic book. You get the same sensation you would get from following a long-running comic book series. But with every film come negatives, and this film is no exception. There are lots of answers to certain questions, but then there are plot points that just seem to disappear. The pacing of the first third is very slow, and some could see that as a good thing, but some could also see it as boring. And the treatment of some characters might not sit well with fans.
All in all, “Avengers: Endgame” provides great closure for a franchise that has done something unbelievable. The interconnecting of over 20 different films is no easy task, but the team behind Marvel Studios still manages to make it work.
