Football is back! It was a busy week in the NFL with 16 games. Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott has suffered a fractured thumb. With that being said he will now miss approximately 4-6 weeks according to the NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. That is not good news for Cowboy fans with the season just beginning.
On Sunday Russell Wilson returned to Seattle after being traded to the Broncos. He did not get a warm welcome, with fans booing him due to his departure from the Seattle Seahawks.Wilson had the chance to get a first down with 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter, but decided to kick a 64 yard field goal instead, and on top of that they were only down one. That wasn’t a smart idea with the game on the line, If they made that goal or went for it they could have potentially won the game. Wilson reflects on his career with Seattle and says he would not be who he is today had he not played for that franchise. Wilson stated his feelings in an interview , before coming back. So coming back for his first game was something special for him.
Injuries are always an ongoing issue and week 1 was no exception. Steelers outside linebacker T.J Watt has a pectoral injury. Seahawks safety Jamal Adams suffered a knee injury Monday night in his quad tendon. Those injuries will make it hard for them to win losing their first strings. And that is a rap for NFL week 1 current events.
