The time is finally here! NBA basketball is back up and rolling for this (82 game) season. Games will be on every night, this is the  favorite time of year for any NBA fan. Unexpectedly at the start of the season. The Trail Blazers are off to an undefeated start. Many NBA reports/fans have doubted them to be as good as they are, because their roster consists of  having only one NBA star. which is Damian Lillard. Lillard missed last year’s seasons due to injuries, and also lost his sidekick CJ Mccollum as well so that can make it even challenging to win. For the start of the 2022 season Lillard is also averaging 30 points per game already which is insane. Considering he is missing that much time he is off to a great start.
On the other hand the media expected the Lakers to have a better start as well considering they have a new roster, and a new coach. But so far they came out to a 0-3 start, shocking everybody. And due to such a bad start, the media seems to look at who may be the cause of this horrible start, and many are thinking Russel Westbrook. NBA media believes some defenders are “treating him like he isn’t even on the court”. In the first three games Westbrook is averaging 10.3 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 4,3 APG, 8.3 % 3PT, and shooting at a 28.9% FG rate which is not great. The game of basketball is a team sport, so the media or fans can’t blame one player, but only time will tell what happens next.
