Haleigh Wyatt from Biddeford is a setter for the SMCC Volleyball team and is majoring in Marine Biology. Wyatt believes that SMCC was a good starting point for mastering playing at a college level, and she embraced the opportunity to play for a coach that she had heard about from her high school coaches. She started playing volleyball in middle school in the 6th grade. Playing with her family and friends taught her how to play and gave her the love of the sport. Her favorite moment playing volleyball occurred when she got to play right side during a state’s game against Scarborough. During this season she loved being one of the starting players on the team, before her injury Wyatt mentions that she is looking forward to seeing how they do under some stress and how they push through any situation. As the coach says, “We need to play scrappy, and we need to play our game.”
