Every college student’s dream is the day they can finally graduate and start the next chapter of their lives. With graduation season right around the corner, that is no different for Southern Maine Community College students.

SMCC’s commence ceremony for 2024 will be taking place Saturday, May 21st at the Cross Insurance Arena at 45 Spring Street in Portland. This will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. 

The admission is free and tickets are not required. There is no limit to the number of guests who may attend and doors will open at 12:00 pm.

For those who are deaf or hard of hearing there will be interpreters, and for those with disabilities, the Cross Insurance Arena has clearly marked areas available to accommodate those guests. Should a guest request ADA seating, we suggest that you arrive by 12:00 pm as guest seating cannot be reserved.
