In 1929, the Andromeda NEBULA was reclassified as the Andromeda GALAXY. Less than 100 years ago humans believed the entire universe existed within the Milky Way Galaxy. Since then, our view of the universe has changed significantly. Every day new discoveries are changing the way we see the universe. We want to be a part of these magnificent discoveries, and we want you to be a part of it as well.
Come down to room 211 in the Hildreth Science building on Tuesdays at 4:30 if you want to join us.
We have plenty of opportunities coming our way and we want to share them with the campus! Come help us design a scale solar system across the campus! Or help us build a radio telescope! Or stop by for a star party one night. We hope to make the SMCC Astronomy Club a bustling community of stargazers and we need you!
The SMCC Astronomy club is dedicated to researching and discussing the science of the stars. We are also dedicated to being an open and welcoming community of stargazers on the SMCC campus.
