“This photo is called “Isolation”. This photo represents the mind, how it’s difficult to make sudden changes especially into the unknown it feels isolating and scary. We are challenged to find light and happiness in dark places and to use it to our advantage. The skull is a representation of the self and sometimes with isolation comes, new ideas, new feels, and most importantly awareness of the self and how each decision we make affects something else. There’s beauty and ugliness in isolation, it’s something to be explored.” -Tamiya Joseph, CNMS student, SMCC.
