The NBA season has had a disastrous start, with 5 teams winning only one or two games. One of those teams is the Lakers, who were predicted to be one of the best teams in the league. the Lakers have lost all of their games except one, shocking fans who expected a promising season. Their 1-5 start comes after numerous injuries across the team. When the Lakers star center Anthony Davis is in and out of the line up it hurts the team badly , when he is not suited up there isn’t another big on the roster that can cover the ground he covers. Anthony Davis’ teammate Thomas Bryant hurt right now as well, so the team has to suffer with these injuries that  keep happening.

After a 0-5 start, the Lakers got a much-needed win over Denver, 121-110. This was Darvin Ham’s first win as the new head coach. A well needed win for coach, players poured water and celebrated for him after the game and the fans in the arena were excited about the win.

The Lakers role players also had a rough start at first, but  they are beginning to get a nice rhythm going. Coach Ham decided to have Russell Westbrook come off the bench, a good move as he can give Lebron and Anthony a break to rest. With Westbrook not starting he will be able to set the tone for the guys off the bench as well, and begin to make players play better. One of those players is Austin Reaves, who is shooting an impressive 53.8% in only his sophomore season. Austin has been having consistency and that is important to have in the NBA to be most effective. Only time will tell if the Lakers can continue these adjustments and make it work to get the ball rolling to a championship.
